The world's bachelors would be forgiven for feeling a little gloomy today, after two of Hollywood's most alluring women announced they will never marry again. Catwoman co-stars Halle Berry and Sharon Stone have both declared that they have walked down the aisle for the last time.
Halle, who has suffered the heartache of two failed marriages, has decided to go it alone from now on. "I just don't get relationships right and now I'm realising there's more to life than a relationship with a man," said the 37-year-old.
"I'll never get married again – that's a fact," she continued. "The man for me is now the cherry on the pie, but I'm the pie and my pie is good all by itself, even if I don't have a cherry."
Halle's statement comes just six months after her marriage to musician Eric Benet fell apart. And the svelte beauty's onscreen nemesis Sharon Stone is likewise revelling in newfound independence. "I don't think you need marriage to be committed," said the 46-year-old, who divorced media mogul Phil Bronstein last year. "You are committed in your heart."
The blonde bombshell also had some pointers for any would-be suitors: "I like guys who are kind and friendly," she revealed. "And I like old-fashioned guys with good manners. I like that they stand up when you come into the room and they open the door for you. I like it when they pay – I am that shallow."
