She's been away from the Hollywood scene since her 2004 Oscar nomination for 21 Grams in February, but actress Naomi Watts has now returned to the spotlight.
The occasion was the premiere of her latest film, We Don't Live Here Anymore, her first big screen outing of this year. And, following in the footsteps of best friend Nicole Kidman, Naomi used the red carpet to display her individual style sense wearing chic black cropped trousers, paired with an unusual satin top and stilettos.
Naomi wasn't the only radiant blonde at the premiere, however, as a glowing Laura Dern, who co-stars in the film, captured the camera's attention in a full-length burgundy halter-top dress. The star, who was accompanied by her partner, musician Ben Harper, has plenty of reasons to smile as she and Ben are expecting their second child together this winter.
We Don't Live Here Anymore is the first onscreen collaboration for this pair of talented actresses. However, they do share one thing in common – cinematic experience with the legendary director David Lynch. Laura gained acclaim for her portrayal of a wide-eyed innocent in the filmmaker's 1986 endeavour Blue Velvet while Naomi similarly rose to stardom in her role in 2001's Mulholland Drive.
