London's female movie fans found themselves swooning en masse on Sunday night as some of the silver screen's hottest hunks paid a visit to the capital. Scottish heart-throb Ewan McGregor and Gladiator star Djimon Hounsou met up with Lieutenant Sharpe himself, Sean Bean, when the new fantasy adventure The Island had its premiere in Leicester Square. Fans gathered outside the cinema might have been forgiven for feeling a little envious of US actress Scarlett Johansson. The 21-year-old, who plays the female lead in the flick, was enjoying the attention of all three of her handsome co-stars. And the actress confessed that sharing an onscreen clinch with the leading man was one of her more enjoyable celluloid moments.

"I've never had the pleasure of kissing 'Ewan' Ewan but I've kissed the Ewan in the movie," she said. "The mentality of it was like a first kiss, very sweet and childish."

In the futuristic thriller the two performers play a pair of clones who go on the run after discovering out their entire existence is a lie. Scarlett, who is currently shooting a new Woody Allen film in London, has no desire to escape the British capital, though. "It's a lovely, lovely place to come and visit," she said. "I'm very happy to be here. I have been here for five weeks and I've done a lot of shopping – I think I need to buy another suitcase!"
