George Clooney has been working his famous charm on Wysteria Lane favourite Teri Hatcher. The 44-year-old was snapped laughing and joking with the Desperate Housewives star when his latest flick Good Night And Good Luck debuted at the New York Film Festival. The two performers were also joined by the movie's stars David Strathairn and Patricia Clarkson at the glitzy bash. And George, who is already winning critical acclaim for his second outing as a director, was on characteristically exuberant form. "Directing is good because you can get old!" he joked. "You can be a boss and yell at the actors. I'm old now – everything hurts. I've got the liver of a 90-year-old!"
Teri seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the hunky star's attention, though she said romance with fellow actors is a strict no-no in her book. "I don't want to go out with actors because that's a bad mix," she said, before confessing she can't seem to find a suitable man.
"All my friends are married and so I don't meet anybody," she explained. "Going to a bar or a gym is just not me, so you can either meet people at work or friends set you up on a blind date. Well, I work with the same people every day and pretty much everybody is taken."
Both she and George will doubtless get the chance to meet plenty of interesting people in the days ahead. The New York Film Festival is considered America's most exclusive celebration of cinema, with just 23 movies making it onto the programme.
