If Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes want to hang on to their title of most loved-up couple in Hollywood they should beware of some stiff competition from Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.
The Paycheck star and his wife, who tied the knot in June, looked for all the world as if they were still on honeymoon on a recent trip to a local Starbucks. With their baby due in December, the couple are obviously enjoying some quality time together. Jennifer, whose character in the TV spy drama Alias is also pregnant, couldn't help snuggling up to her new spouse, who'd just had a haircut.
It's been a big year for the A-listers, who announced their marriage and her pregnancy simultaneously. On a TV show, an excited Jennifer couldn't help blurting out that they were expecting a girl. "You can just start to feel really pregnant," she said. "I felt bigger and bigger, like she..." The Elektra star - who'd initially vowed to keep mum on the child's gender - stopped mid-sentence and laughed when the audience cheered.
Now the down-to-earth couple also intend to move away from Tinseltown after buying a huge estate in Virginia. Ben has said his wife won't return to her show when the current series wraps as she wants "to concentrate on our new family for a while."
Their mansion in Los Angeles is currently on the market and there are no plans to purchase another pad in the city. "Neither of us will have a base in LA any more. We want to raise kids in the country," he revealed. "We aim to live a very low-key life well away from all the superficiality of Hollywood."
