In her role as Sex And The City's Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker earned a reputation as one of Big Apple's most stylish residents. The glamorous actress once again proved her fashion credentials when she turned out for the premiere of her latest big screen offering in a stunning Oscar de la Renta gown. With a sleek brunette bob offsetting her silver dress, the performer's glowing appearance belied the fact she turned 40 earlier this year. Her co-star, silver screen veteran Diane Keaton, was also looking radiant in a black tuxedo and bow tie.

As they sashayed up the red carpet arm-in-arm, the two actresses were obviously getting on rather better than their onscreen personas. In The Family Stone, Sarah plays a headstrong New Yorker who finds herself in a bit of a pickle when her fiancé takes her home to meet his bohemian family. Diane is the future mother-in-law who is wholly unimpressed with her son's choice of bride, while Dermot Mulroney, who movie fans will recognise from My Best Friend's Wedding, plays the stressed out husband to be.

The film is produced by Michael London, who is becoming well-known for making box office hits outside the studio system. His latest effort, which has already won the plaudits of US critics, looks set to prove just as popular as previous offerings like Sideways, Thirteen and The House of Sand And Fog.
