There were some lighthearted moments as stars attended film screenings in New York and LA on Wednesday night. In California Jim Carrey was hamming it up for the cameras at the premiere of his latest comedy Fun With Dick And Jane, a remake of a 1977 movie about a middle-class couple who turn to robbery.

The Truman Show actor seemed to be having a great time as he bantered with co-star Tea Leoni. Reprising a role first tackled by Jane Fonda, the actress plays a reluctant wife who joins her husband on a crime spree after he loses his job.

Meanwhile across the country in the Big Apple it was obvious another pair of movie colleagues also have great chemistry. At the screening of their romantic drama Match Point, Scarlett Johansson and Woody Allen were observed deep in conversation. At one point the 70-year-old New Yorker even wagged his finger as if giving advice to the starlet, who was listening attentively and smiling.

But it may not have been the finer points of her acting technique that were under discussion. The Golden Globe-nominated actress has hinted the veteran film-maker may become her new style guru.

Scarlett recently revealed that the director picked out her entire on-screen wardrobe for the London-set thriller and she loved all the outfits. "If I ever have to make an awards show appearance, I've told him he can pick my dress," she confided.
