Julia Roberts and her Ocean's Eleven co-star George Clooney had a reunion of sorts at Monday's Critics Choice Awards, as the Pretty Woman star presented her close pal with a special gong for Good Night, And Good Luck.

The Oscar-winning actress, who has been out of the Hollywood spotlight since giving birth just over a year ago, didn't walk the red carpet, but did have a choice seat next to her good friend in the audience. "Somebody called and asked her to (present)," said George. "I'm thrilled she's here. I haven't seen her in a while."

George, who performed a cinematic hat trick for the movie, directing, co-starring and co-writing the screenplay for the film about TV reporter Edward R Murrow, received the Freedom Award for "illuminating our shared values of freedom, tolerance and democracy".

Other stars honoured on the night included Walk The Line star Reese Witherspoon, who received a best actress trophy for her work in the Johnny Cash biopic, and best actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, for Capote. Controversial cowboy drama Brokeback Mountain was the biggest winner, roping in three awards, including best picture, best supporting actress for Michelle Williams and best director for Ang Lee.

Meanwhile, George and Julia are said to be teaming up once again for the third film in the Ocean's Eleven franchise, Ocean's Thirteen. The 38-year-old actress is also planning to make her Broadway debut this spring with a role in Richard Greenberg's Three Days Of Rain.
