Poised as ever, Nicole Kidman delighted fellow guests when she attended a fundraiser in New York, clad in an unusual peep-shoulder gauze top and still sporting the big sparkly ring that suddenly appeared on her ring finger in November.
The ring had sparked speculation that the 38-year-old Aussie actress was planning to tie the knot with her country singer beau Keith Urban, also 38, over the New Year period.
But though the ring stays elegantly in place on the Oscar winner's slender finger, the mother of two has maintained a discreet silence over wedding plans which remained unbroken at the Simon Wiesenthal tribute dinner on Wednesday night.
Chatting serenely with Big Apple luminaries, Nicole showed no signs of fatigue from her schedule of back-to-back moviemaking. And as we'd expect from an actress famed for her versatility, this year she will be performing in some broadly differing productions, including a sci-fi horror movie, a couple of dramas, and an animated children's film.
