Her Majesty's coolest secret agent may have lined up a love interest, but taking up his license to kill hasn't been entirely plain sailing for the latest 007, Daniel Craig. After news that French temptress Eva Green is to appear in Casino Royale, the hunk should have been enjoying a celebratory martini.
Instead the 37-year-old heart-throb found himself receiving emergency dental treatment after a stunt went wrong on location in Prague.
The actor is believed to have lost two of his teeth in a fight scene, where James Bond throws a terrorist through an embassy window. "He was reeling from a heavy blow and staggered back holding his face," revealed an insider.
In true tough-guy fashion, buffed-up Daniel attempted to make light of the accident, but producers were taking no chances and flew out his personal dentist to patch up the damage.
As well as signing up Eva, whose seductive beauty won the heart of Orlando Bloom in Kingdom Of Heaven, Bond also has an arch villain on board. Ice-cool hunk Mads Mikkelsen, a respected actor in his native Denmark, will play Bond's nemesis, Le Chiffre or 'The Number' in French.
Daniel will also be happy to know he's received support from screen veteran Christopher Lee, Scaramanga in 1973's The Man with the Golden Gun, who defended him against criticism that his fair hair ruled him out for the part.
"There's been a lot of nonsense written about him being James Blond," he said, urging doubting Thomases to wait for the film to hit cinemas before passing judgment.
