We've seen George Clooney carrying a variety of objects over the past few days – most memorably, the best supporting actor Oscar he won for Syriana. But even more recently than that, he's been spotted hoisting boxes of paper and modest cups of coffee on the set of his new film.
With the red carpet and flashbulbs already in the past, it's back to business as usual for the 44-year-old actor/director. And with the filming of Michael Clayton, a drama about a New York lawyer, he seems to be taking a break from his forays into the political minefield with Good Night, And Good Luck and Syriana.
That's no surprise perhaps, from the man who cheerfully turns out romantic or action pot-boilers while developing his interest in more thought-provoking movies. With cinema seats still warm from viewings of heist flick Ocean's Twelve, a third in the series has been announced, guaranteeing that George's fans will be receiving the perfect mix of fun and deep this year.
Asked how he'd be celebrating his Oscar win just days earlier, down-to-earth George replied, "I'm gonna have a couple of drinks, I'm gonna do a couple of interviews, and then I'm gonna go meet my buddies at some pub, and they're all there with their wives and I'll get to walk in with an Oscar. And that's gonna be fun."
