Having recently been named the world's highest paid actress, there's little doubt that Reese Witherspoon has a head for success. It was small surprise, therefore, that the 29-year-old, who last week picked up the best actress Oscar for her role in Walk The Line, decided to put on some protective headgear when she went zipping around London on a moped.
The diminutive performer has been turning heads in the British capital as she shows off her riding skills on a black Vespa. The mum-of-two is more accustomed to the back seat of a limousine than the saddle of a scooter, but she has become a biker chick for the film Penelope, in which she plays a pizza delivery girl.
Reese had to take lessons from a motorcycle instructor in order to prepare for the new flick. And judging by the smile on her face on Tuesday afternoon, the Tinseltown favourite is thoroughly enjoying the experience. The hotly-anticipated comedy sees her teaming up with UK favourites Lenny Henry and Richard E Grant, along with fellow American Christina Ricci.
Back home in Los Angeles, meanwhile, the Legally Blonde star's little girl has apparently found a novel new use for her famous mum's growing collection of acting awards. "My daughter Ava sneaks them off to her room and dresses them up," revealed the devoted parent. "She likes to put necklaces on them and lipstick."
