Tinseltown siren Sharon Stone is currently setting pulses racing around the world with her risque turn in Basic Instinct 2, which sees her reprising the femme fatale role of murderess Catherine Trammel. When the actress was photographed out and about in New York over the weekend, however, the only instincts on display were of the maternal variety.
Having just completed a whirlwind tour of Europe - which took in London, Madrid, Paris, Rome and Berlin - the performer is now enjoying some quality time with her new baby boy, Laird. With her trademark blonde tresses tied back in a tight ponytail and a brown coat to keep the chilly temperatures at bay, the 48-year-old was looking rather more casual than the red carpet queen who has dazzled a succession of European capitals in recent days.
Sharon became a mum for the second time when she adopted the youngster in May last year. The new addition to her family came five years after she welcomed her first son, Roan Joseph - also adopted - with then-husband Phil Bronstein. "The only thing better than one child is two," she says. "They make me happy - the best I have ever been."
