In recent times Tom Cruise has gone from being one of the movie industry's most private stars to one of its most outspoken. And having just welcomed a new baby daughter into his life, the Hollywood heart-throb seems keen to let the world know just how happy the bundle of joy has made him.
Speaking in his first interview since little Suri, his first child with Katie Holmes, was born last week, the actor said her birth was an unforgettable experience. "It was everything that we wanted it to be," he affirmed. "It was spiritual. It was powerful. It was indescribable. What words can you use? It's still something that I'm processing and keep reliving."
The demands of his movie career will not allow much time for paternity leave, though, as the 43-year-old is to start a promotional tour for his latest flick Mission: Impossible III this week. Tom, who already has two children, Isabel and Conor, from his marriage to Nicole Kidman, says both he and his fiancée are taking things in their stride, however. "I'm really doing exceptionally well - I'm really doing beautifully," he said. "And Katie's doing beautifully and Suri's doing beautifully and Bel and Conor – everyone."
