Family fun on the red carpet for Brooke

Motherhood obviously agrees with Brooke Shields - just two weeks after giving birth to her second daughter, Grier Hammond, the Suddenly Susan actress was glowing with health when she stepped out for an LA premiere on Monday.

Carrying Grier's big sister, Rowan, who's nearly three, the ever-lovely 40-year-old had come along to watch the children's film Over The Hedge.

At the cinema, she joined Bruce Willis, who was accompanied by his three favourite girls, daughters Rumer, Tallulah and Scout. The Die Hard star voices the lead character in the animated movie about the adventures of a mischievous racoon and his buddy the turtle.

These days Brooke is the picture of zen-like calm. Asked about having her child in the same hospital where Tom Cruise welcomed his daughter Suri, the Hollywood mum said the "irony is perfect", adding: "The world works in interesting ways, but we were both pretty busy that day."

The Mission Impossible actor clashed with Brooke after suggesting that post-natal depression should be treated with exercise and vitamins rather than drugs. His comments were robustly dismissed by the actress, who suffered from 'baby blues' after her first pregnancy.

But the mother-of-two sent Tom an olive branch in the form of a congratulatory bunch of pink and yellow roses for him and fiancée Katie Holmes. "Brooke has a big heart," said a source. "It's her way of setting aside their differences."
