The Da Vinci Code may have been the biggest show in town, but with some of the world's most beautiful women on hand for the opening night of the Cannes film festival Audrey Tautou and her co-stars weren't the only ones basking in the limelight. Ziyi Zhang, Monica Bellucci and Andie MacDowell were among the lovely ladies bringing high glamour to the French seaside from all corners of the globe.
Both the Italian temptress and Geisha girl Ziyi turned up for jury duty in striking strapless creations. Known for her penchant for vivid hues, this time the Chinese actress had plumped for a scarlet dress to accentuate her delicate looks.
Also dazzling in a pillar-box coloured, off-the-shoulder affair was Kelly Brook, who arrived with fiancé Billy Zane, dapper as ever in a black tux.
A team of spokesmodels from L'Oreal proved that three is the magic number as Andie trod the red carpet with two stunning colleagues. The Green Card star was pictured alongside Fantastic Four actress Kerry Washington and Asian screen goddess Aishwarya Rai, who starred in the Bollywood crossover movie Bride And Prejudice.
Eschewing the prevailing trend for red, Eva Herzigova was in effervescent spirits in a thigh-revealing orange gown which also showed off plenty of decolletage. Meanwhile gamine homegrown star Audrey was keeping it short and sweet in an angelic, yet sexy white frock.
