Halle Berry and Rebecca Romijn ensured every camera lense in Cannes was on them as they glittered - literally - at the premiere of their new action flick X-Men: The Last Stand on Monday evening. The stunning duo had opted for high octane glamour in their choice of metallic-finish frocks for the red carpet event
Oscar winner Halle dazzled in a sequined halter neck with plunging neckline, and - ever the professional - she had made preparations just in case. "I brought two," she said. "I knew the one I wanted to wear, but you always bring a back up…you never know what can happen."
And it isn't just the buzz of the film festival that draws the Monster's Ball actress to France, it’s also the men. "They are really romantic – every time I come to France I always leave with plenty of good options," the single 39-year-old confessed at a press conference.
Her co-star Rebecca, who plays Mystique in the superhero blockbuster, looked similarly glam in a gleaming back-baring creation in gold. The former model was clearly relished her chance to dress up after spending months wearing nothing but blue body paint for her role in the action flick, which hits UK cinemas this Thursday.
Also attending the movie's much anticipated opening night were Star Trek's Patrick Stewart, Australian actor Hugh Jackman and Dutch beauty Famke Janssen. Ubiquitous socialite, Paris Hilton, also showed up for the screening in a sparkling mini dress and towering silver stilettos.
