As Jennifer Aniston knows, breaking up is never easy to do unless of course it's with Vince Vaughn. The former Friend was full of praise for her new love, whom she met on the set of the The Break-Up in the wake of her marriage split with Brad Pitt.

At the film's premiere in California the couple - who've been coy about revealing details of their relationship - looked relaxed enough, but did their best not to be pictured side-by-side. In interviews to mark the movie's opening it's been a very different story, however, with Jen and Vince keeping the compliments flowing mutually.

Describing her beau as "the cream of the crop", the 37-year-old actress, who has won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for her comedic talents, said: "He's a great comedian and an amazing dramatic actor."

The screen favourite called making a flick on a subject so close to home "therapeutic" and said the connection between her and the 6ft 5in hunk was immediate. "I felt safe with Vince," she commented. "I loved the way we would volley together. I had that on Friends, but that was ten years in the making whereas we had it pretty instantly."

Gallant Vince was no less effusive, enthusing: "People are drawn to her. Jennifer’s the kind of person you could put in a room and all the kids would come over not even knowing who she is."
