Los Angeles' plush Century Plaza Hotel played host to an evening of old-fashioned glamour on Tuesday as some of the movie industry's hottest leading ladies turned out for a glittering prizegiving gala.
Jennifer Lopez and Geena Davis were the both among the honourees basking in glory at the presentation of this year's Crystal & Lucy Awards. The prizes are given to women who, through their work in TV and cinema, have helped to boost the fairer sex's role in showbusiness.
It was a very special moment for Bronx-born J Lo, as she joined luminaries like Meryl Streep, Jodie Foster and Susan Sarandon in receiving a Crystal Award.
With her auburn locks swept back in a retro-style do and a strapless black dress making the most of her famous curves, Jen looked every inch the silver screen bombshell. And the significance of the evening obviously wasn't lost on her husband Marc Anthony, as he took out a full page advertisement in trade magazine Variety to show his support.
Geena meanwhile added a Lucy award to the Golden Globe she picked up earlier this year for her role in Commander In Chief. The trophy, which is named after iconic performer Lucille Ball, is presented each year to a man or woman who embodies the same indomitable character as the flame-haired actress.
