The press have gone into overdrive in recent days with speculation that Nicole Kidman is pregnant. But the future Mrs Urban's choice of outfit as she stepped out in Shanghai - a close fitting pencil skirt and black blouse - seemed to belie reports that she may be expecting.
The star's Australian publicist denied her client is imminently to become a mum after photos appeared of Nicole leaving a yoga session with what appeared to be a bump. And, in briefly touching her tummy en route into a promotional event in the Chinese city at the weekend, the Bewitched star seemed to be drawing attention to her usual svelte silhouette.
The actress, who turns 39 on Tuesday, flew into the Chinese city by private jet from Nashville on Saturday with her Country music star fiancé, Keith Urban. Her visit coincided with the annual Shanghai Film Festival, where she caught up with fellow antipodean Hugh Jackman, who is expected to be a guest at her imminent nuptials. She also met up with Kar Wai Wong, the director of spy thriller The Lady From Shanghai, which she is due to star in.
Now back in Sydney - which is abuzz with rumours that the homegrown star will wed there this weekend - Nicole has confirmed she now calls Tennessee her home, after having moved into Keith's house in Nashville.
Meanwhile more details are emerging of the planned nuptials. According to Australian newspapers the former Mrs Cruise has forked out £200,000 on booking 120 rooms in the city's Intercontinental Hotel for her guests. Invitees are said to include best pal Naomi Watts, Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrman, and Russell Crowe and his wife Danielle Spencer.
