As he pushes his two-year-old son Charlie along in his buggy, Russell Crowe pauses for a moment to plant a kiss on the lips of his wife Danielle Spencer. The tender images provide proof, if it were needed, that the Hollywood tough guy is a real softie at heart when it comes to his family.
The couple were snapped taking a walk in Sydney, where they own a luxurious harbour-front property. With Danielle expecting a little brother for Charlie in July, Russell has been taking a hiatus from his film career so he can turn his full attention to matters at home.
It's a gesture that will be appreciated by the pretty blonde, who's spoken of her loneliness when her Oscar-winning husband is away on set. An actress and singer in her own right, Danielle recently published the lyrics of her evocative new album, baring her soul on the ups and downs of life with the actor.
In turn, the Cinderella Man star has paid tribute to his wife's strength in a solo album entitled My Hand, My Heart. Weight Of Man, a ballad released last year, talks of Danielle not being "one bit scared to shoulder a burden like me".
