Sienna Miller cut quite a figure in the Big Apple as she met up with on-off boyfriend Jude Law for a lunch date. Displaying a novel way of keeping cool in the city, the stunning actress turned up in a barely-there swimsuit for the romantic encounter.

It remains to be seen whether the style icon's latest look will catch on, but Sienna certainly managed to turn a few heads among her fellow diners. The Alfie star made her latest sartorial statement in a £245 backless costume by designer Liza Bruce which left little to the imagination, teamed with a Pepe mini skirt, Prada sandals and a trendy trilby.

The gorgeous 24-year-old met up with her beau at the Grotta Azzurra restaurant, Frank Sinatra's favourite Italian eatery, after returning from a relaxing break with her sister Savannah in the South of France earlier this week. The celebrity couple are working at getting their relationship back on track after numerous splits and have been on a series of dates in New York where Jude, 33, is currently filming Blueberry Nights.

His latest movie reunites him with his Closer co-star Natalie Portman and he also shares the screen with songstress Norah Jones and Oscar-winner Rachel Weisz. The flick, directed by Wong Kar-Wai, follows the story of a young woman - played by Norah - who meets up with a series of characters in bars as she travels across America to find the meaning of true love.
