'Model' family Brad, Angelina and Shiloh unveiled in NYC

It would appear Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's baby daughter Shiloh doesn't even have to be present to send the press pack into a frenzy. The much-talked-about tot caused quite a stir in New York this week when she became the youngest person ever to be immortalised with a statue in Madame Tussauds.

With a large group of photographers jockeying for position inside the Times Square attraction, those who weren't in the know might have been forgiven for thinking the A-list couple had brought their bundle of joy along in person. The sleeping beauty at the centre of everyone's attention wasn't the real Shiloh Nouvel, however, but a carefully crafted waxwork.

Madam Tussauds boss Janine DiGioacchino said visitors would be invited to have their picture taken with the happy trio, and in keeping with the family's altruistic spirit, $1 from each photo would be donated to charity. "Even though she's just a few months old, Shiloh is already an iconic figure in world popular culture," she explained. "We are proud to follow Angelina and Brad's good example by donating to Unicef – an organisation dedicated to preserving children's rights around the world."

The couple's son, Maddox, has taken a backseat since his little sister was born two months ago, but he once again found himself on the receiving end of media attention when an American magazine voted him Hollywood's best looking child this week. And Brad, who is well-accustomed to topping "most handsome" polls, has meanwhile been waxing lyrical about the joys of fatherhood. "Children change your perspective and it takes the focus off yourself," he said. "I am really grateful for that. I've really had a very fortunate life and it's time for me to share that a bit."
