Most of Susan Sarandon's fans would agree the veteran actress has a certain bewitching quality. And the Oscar winner's spellbinding talents were on full display when she took to the streets of New York recently to film scenes for her new movie Enchanted.
In the film the 59-year-old plays an evil witch hell bent on making life miserable for a young princess played by silver screen newcomer Amy Adams. On the set of the movie it was Susan who was enduring a little hardship, though, as a powerful fan blew water into her face to recreate the appearance of a stormy night.
With a metallic midnight blue dress and heavy eye make-up, the Thelma And Louise star certainly managed to look the part of a wicked enchantress. But her character in the fairytale is in stark contrast to real life, because the mum-of-three is better known for her humanitarian efforts than for any misdeeds.
The New York native spends much of her time working as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations, while also finding time to clock up over 70 movie credits over the course of her glittering career. Her next screen outing will see her teaming up with British favourites Colin Firth, Sir Ian McKellen and Rachel Weisz in the romantic drama Colossus.
