With her name up in lights as Superman Returns to cinemas across the world, Kate Bosworth has been wowing fans from London to Los Angeles. In Britain two weeks ago the pretty actress caused a sensation in a backless minidress. And on Monday her choice for the Tokyo preview was a little more demure, but every bit as alluring.

Kate was looking uber polished in an elegant pale cream day dress with black detailing which set off her delicate blonde features to perfection. Her escorts to the screening were newcomer Brandon Routh, who portrays the Man of Steel in this summer's outing, and the film's villain Kevin Spacey.

There was no sign of the 23-year-old starlet's leading man Orlando Bloom, however, who's been tied up with promotional duties of his own for high seas adventure Pirates Of The Caribbean.

Meanwhile, in New York, Adrien Brody was busy attending the screening of his crime mystery Hollywoodland. The Oscar-winning star has been quite the globetrotter of late, jetting from Spain, where he was shooting matador biopic Manolete with Penelope Cruz, to Chile for a romantic break with another of the Mediterranean country's belles, model Elsa Pataky.

Normally a fan of the dressed-down Big Apple look, comprising sneakers and low-slung trousers, the actor had spruced up in a snappy slate grey suit to face the cameras with co-star Diane Lane, who sparkled in a gold sequinned frock.
