She might be heavily pregnant, but that hasn't stopped Maggie Gyllenhaal putting on the glitz. The Secretary actress looked every inch the Hollywood starlet as she attended the NY premiere of her latest firm on Monday.
Accompanied by her handsome 35-year-old fiancé Peter Sarsgaard, the elegant New Yorker arrived for the screening of romantic comedy Trust The Man in a glamorous golden shift dress. She had, however, sensibly ditched killer heels in favour of a comfortable pair of pumps.
Maggie, whose reported to be expecting their first child in October or November, recently revealed that her baby already reacts to her flicks. "I've been to a bunch of screenings of my movies and I think when my voice is loud, the baby can feel it," she said. "It does things like move and flip around."
But the intensely private 28-year-old is keeping mum about other details surrounding her pregnancy, "I feel so protective of everything that has to do with this baby. I feel really strongly somehow, intuitively, that my first job as a developing mother is to protect this little one and not talk about when it's going to be born or anything like that."
Meanwhile, the previous day, Rachel Bilson was also making a stylish red carpet statement in Hollywood as she attended a soundtrack party for The Last Kiss in which she makes her big screen debut alongside Zach Braff and Casey Affleck. The pretty 24-year-old proved she is just as on the fashion pulse as her former OC co-star Mischa Barton by donning a cute bubble dress by Brian Reyes, accessorised with a bright red belt and vintage pumps.
The Last Kiss opens in UK cinemas on October 20 and the US on September 15. Trust The Man hits US screens on August 18. Its UK release is yet to be announced.
