They shot the movie in 2005, but Factotum stars Matt Dillon, Marisa Tomei and Lili Taylor couldn't have been happier to be reunited for a New York screening of the drama on Tuesday.
And Matt's history with fellow New Yorker Marisa goes even further back, to when they worked together on The Flamingo Kid in 1984 – one of the Alfie beauty's first films before she hit the big time in My Cousin Vinny. And the firm friends were all smiles at the Big Apple premiere as they were joined by Illinois native Lili who recently starred in hit American TV comedy Six Feet Under.
One-time teen idol-turned-Oscar nominated actor Matt is currently enjoying his professional success. "I don't think I've ever been in a better time, careerwise," he said in a recent interview. "It's just been a really good period of time for me."
Not unused to playing difficult characters - notably in the acclaimed Crash where he portrayed a troubled cop, Matt takes on the role of an alcoholic writer struggling to hold down jobs while getting involved in destructive affairs with women in Factotum. The You, Me And Dupree star's gritty portrayal looks set to earn him even more plaudits as he continues to be the toast of Hollywood.
