Front-row seats to the best fashion shows, access to exclusive parties, plus a reported six-figure sum for her appearances - Mischa Barton has been having a ball since arriving in Australia. And there to enjoy it with the California beauty has been her little sister Hania.
As guests of department store David Jones, the gorgeous siblings have been treated to the sort of luxury treatment that would have Mischa's OC character green with envy. Their hosts have laid on a cruise round Sydney harbour, a trip to the latest Cirque Du Soleil show and dinner in the city's top restaurants.
And Australians seem to have taken the American actress to their hearts. The Sydney fashion set was in raptures after she attended a showing of the company's summer collection in an oyster-grey cocktail dress, accessorised with Bulgari diamonds. Meanwhile 18-year-old Hania won top style points for wearing an unusual patterned shift with lace overlay.
On a visit to the company's flagship store in Melbourne the next day, the girls were mobbed by thousands of Mischa's enthusiastic fans, many of whom had been waiting since dawn. The smiling star had to be flanked by security guards as the crowd of teenagers pressed forward to get close to their idol.
