They're both known for their smouldering on-screen looks so it was no surprise to see Antonio Banderas and Andy Garcia setting a few hearts racing as they attended an awards ceremony in Hollywood on Friday. But the showbiz pair only had eyes for their leading ladies.
The Latin heart-throbs were both in Beverly Hills to pick up gongs at the Imagen awards which honour the best in Hispanic cinema and television. Antonio scooped the Best Actor title for his ballroom dancing flick Take The Lead, as his proud wife Melanie Griffith looked on. The couple, who celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary this year, are clearly as loved-up as ever – as Melanie proved by wearing her heart on her sleeve – or indeed her skin. Looking seductive in a little black dress, she happily displayed the tattoo on her arm dedicated to her handsome husband.
Andy, meanwhile, was accompanied by not one but four of his leading ladies. The Godfather III actor had brought along his wife of 24 years, Maria Victoria, and their three daughters to the ceremony where he picked up the evening's top honours. The Havana-native won Best Director and Best Picture for his passionate movie The Lost City, in which he also stars.
The 50-year-old's highly acclaimed directorial debut is set in the Cuban revolution and is a story close to home for Andy who fled the island nation as a boy with his parents to start a new life in Miami. He is currently filming Ocean's 13 alongside George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
