Jennifer Aniston under pressure for Broadway debut

Having already made her name as one of television's most popular stars, Jennifer Aniston has spent the last few years making inroads into the movie industry. It would seem the pretty actress' talents aren't limited to screen work, however, as she has just made her stage debut on Broadway.

The 37-year-old joined ER favourite Julianna Marguiles and Scream star Liev Schreiber when she took part in the 24 Hour Plays in the heart of Manhattan. Organisers managed to attract a roll call of big names to the one-night-only fundraising event, in which actors are given only a few hours to prepare before the curtain goes up.

Thankfully the plays, which are written in an intense overnight session, are each only ten minutes long. Jen and her fellow thesps still had their work cut out for them as they had to learn their lines and give a solid delivery without having seen the scripts in advance.

In previous years some of the stars have found themselves stumbling through their lines once the show got underway. And reports stateside say this year's instalment was no exception, with several performers running into difficulties. The evening's main purpose was to raise money for arts projects in impoverished areas of New York, however, and watching the big names struggle under pressure is all part of the fun.
