Just a few months ago Jennifer Garner confessed she couldn't seem to lose the extra weight she gained while pregnant with her baby daughter Violet. The pretty actress was back to her old athletic self when she turned out for the premiere of her latest movie, Catch And Release, on Monday, however.
Looking fit and fabulous in a strapless black satin number, the 34-year-old dazzled photographers at the Los Angeles screening. In the movie, which is something of a departure from her usual high-kicking action roles, she plays a woman struggling to come to terms with the loss of her fiancée and the secrets he kept from her.
In real life the performer's home life is very different. Indeed her newfound domestic bliss apparently proved the main obstacle to regaining her figure after little Violet was born. "I didn't lose my baby weight for a long time," she explained. "I just didn't want to - I didn't want to take that hour away from her and work out."
Fans of her hit series Alias may be disappointed to hear Jennifer is unlikely to reprise her role as Sydney Bristow. Being a mum and spending time with husband Ben Affleck are her main priorities these days, so the gruelling hours involved in making the show don't appeal anymore. "I couldn't do a single lead on a one-hour drama," said the Texan star. "I have to really love something a lot to be willing to not be with my little girl every day."
