While it's not known how long they intend to live in New Orleans, for now Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will certainly enjoy some luxurious comforts in their recently purchased Big Easy mansion. Real Estate pictures of the 150-year-old mansion in the city's French Quarter reveal it to be an ultra-elegant place to call home.

The six-bedroom property, which they bought outright for the full £1.92 million asking price, features a grand spiral staircase, large private courtyard and big eat-in kitchen. There's plenty of room for their ever-expanding brood, too, as it has six bedrooms and a separate two-storey guest house.

Brad and his beautiful Mr & Mrs Smith co-star have been busy settling into the hurricane-ravaged city. On location there to film The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, Brad continues his involvement with a development project for rebuilding damaged neighbourhoods in the area. Angelina, meanwhile, has been doing the school run with son Maddox, five. She has also delighted regulars by popping into her new local, The Abbey Bar. "She was real nice, everyone was real cool to her," says barman Matt Dunn.
