As excitement mounts ahead of Sunday night's Golden Globe ceremony - always watched keenly as an indicator of likely Oscar results - organisers have unveiled the new statuettes and shared what VIP guests will be tucking into on the night.

Star attendees will be treated to an organic feast prepared by chefs from the Beverly Hilton hotel. It will start with a California Field Green Salad with white asparagus, crisp apricot dill and poached pear with maple syrup.

Main courses include beef tenderloin served with green tea pearl sauce and Asian-style sautéed sea bass, sherry wine yuzu pepper sauce and grilled king oyster mushrooms.

And to ensure everyone get their hands on a trophy on the night, there will be chocolate statuettes for dessert.

The real thing has been given a revamp this year, with more detailing added to the countries on the globe revealed at this week's unveiling.
