It seems only yesterday that Dakota Fanning, then aged ten, starred as Tom Cruise's daughter inWar Of The Worlds. Four years on she's back – and all grown up – on the red carpet for the premiere of another sci-fi thriller -Push.
Looking far more sophisticated than her 14 years, the blooming starlet had chosen a mink coloured strapless gown to join Djimon Hounsou and other co-stars at the LA screening.
It's not just Georgia-born Dakota's appearance which is maturing. She's also accepting edgier roles these days. In this latest outing she plays a rebellious pink-haired clairvoyant who, along with other US nationals with extraordinary powers, flees to Hong Kong to escape a clandestine US government agency.
Djimon also moves into new territory with Push, departing from his usual 'good guy' role to portray the film's baddie, Agent Henry Carver. The film also stars Fantastic Four actor Chris Evans as someone who can transport objects with his mind, and 10,000 BC actress Camille Belle.
