Best known for their gritty on-screen work, James McAvoy and Nigel Harman are back treading the boards together in a West End revival of Three Days Of Rain.

No strangers to the theatre, James and Nigel – who worked together on 2001 play Privates On Parade - are currently appearing alongside Lyndsey Marshal, best known for playing Cleopatra in Rome, at London's Apollo theatre.

The play, a production of which Julia Roberts made her stage debut in, explores secrets passed down from one generation to the next.

The first half is set in 1995 and follows three friends who've been left a house, while the second goes back to 1960, with Nigel, James and Lyndsey playing both generations. Fans of the hunky actors' TV and film work needn’t worry, however. Atonement star James has a new movie - The Last Station - out this year, while former EastEnder Nigel is to replace Max Beesley in Hotel Babylon.
