As one of Hollywood's highest profile couples, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie could have had their pick of top notch London eateries during their recent stay in the capital for the Baftas.

Instead they chose a South Kensington curry house as the locale for a Saturday night outing with pals.

On the advice of Claudia Schiffer's film director husband Matthew Vaughn, Angelina, Brad and ten of their friends, dined at the 40-seat Noor Jaham restaurant, where main courses are priced from just £7.90.

Squeezed around three tables pushed together, the couple and their pals, including Claudia, Matthew and Robert Downey Jr, tucked into vegetable samosas, tandoori lamb chops and the house special, lamb passanda.

"They booked the table for 12 at 7.30pm and were a bit late arriving, but that was OK," co-owner Shauyab Ahmed revealed. "Matthew comes in here all the time with Claudia. He loves the lamb passanda, he always has that. Brad and Angelina seemed to love the food too. They ate it all."
