Just weeks after their loved-up appearance at the Oscars, Jennifer Aniston and her musician beau John Mayer have gone their separate ways. The pair, who've been dating on and off for a year, apparently broke up when the 40-year-old Friends star returned from a promotional trip to Europe, with one source claiming it was John who called time on the relationship.
Another report says the couple – who have been struggling to maintain their romance amid conflicting work schedules - came to a mutual decision to split following a series of disagreements. "Jen is moving on with her life like she always does. She seems happy," a source tells US publication People.
It's not the first time the pair have broken up. They parted briefly in August last year, as John didn't think things were working out. "I ended a relationship to be alone because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right," the 31-year-old said at the time.
