Jennifer Aniston has told friends it was she who decided to end her relationship with singer John Mayer for a second time.
Marley & Me star Jennifer, who broke off the romance last week after returning from the UK where she'd been promoting the canine flick, came to her decision after the 31-year-old musician reportedly "went cold" following their high profile date at the Academy Awards in February.
"They had a great time at the Oscars, but he seemed to go cold right after that," a source told the Sun. "To say her feelings are hurt is an understatement."
While the 40-year-old actress may have ended her love life off-screen, she could soon be enjoying a liaison with one of Hollywood's hunkiest men, Daniel Craig.
After admitting to dreams of being a Bond girl in a recent interview, Jennifer is now being seriously considered for a part in the next 007 film.
"She has to be beautiful but she also needs to have brains. It helps if she's athletic and able to keep up with the stunt work a Bond movie demands," a source at the production company told the Daily Express. "Jennifer has all these qualities."
"After her comments it's likely she'll be called in to meet (producers) Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson when we start the next one."
