X-Men star Hugh Jackman is clearly at a very good place in his life right now. The Aussie star was the epitome of a happy man as he planted his handprints in cement on Hollywood's Walk Of Fame.

Grinning, the tanned and uber-buff star plunged his hands into the plaque outside Tinseltown landmark Grauman's Chinese Theatre on what was very much a family day out.

The 40-year-old actor was in dad mode as he tipped his three-year-old daughter Ava upside down before sharing a smooch with his actress wife Deborra-Lee Furness as son Oscar, eight, munched popcorn.

This week's honour was yet another confirmation of the golden state of Hugh's career. After a profile-boosting part in Baz Luhrmann's Outback epic Australia, and a job of a lifetime role of hosting the Oscars this year, the actor is set to see his star rocket further when his new film Wolverine hits cinemas next month.

Hugh reminisced about his Academy Award turn at the hand-print ceremony. "This particular block of real estate has brought me two moments in my life I thought would never ever happen - hosting the Oscars and now here today. It means the world to me to be here," said the Sydney-born star.

"This is an amazing moment I never ever thought would happen. I'm very very humbled by it."
