There have been a host of eyecatching images from the French Riviera's film fest since Cannes got underway a week ago. Among them was the Peaches Geldof swapping numbers with her US counterpart Paris Hilton; the pair seemed intent on synchronising their contact lists at one of the festival parties over the weekend.
Paris, who's in town with new love Doug Reinhardt, was also spotted topping up her tan, having swapped her party dress for a swimsuit to hang out by the hotel pool.
Another classic moment came as Tony Hadley, Gary and Martin Kemp and the rest of the Spandau Ballet crew raised a glass to their reunion – and forthcoming UK comeback tour – at a special party in their honour.
Also drawing snappers was the image of Pirates Of The Caribbean star Orlando Bloom enjoying a night out with his model girlfriend Miranda Kerr and fellow catwalk star Lily Cole. During the evening the Aussie model and her British beau were introduced to Lily's new man, American Without A Trace actor Enrique Murciano.
And Cannes wouldn't be Cannes without the gorgeous gowns. Hilary Swank led the way at a party hosted by jewellery label Chopard in a dazzling gunmetal number featuring the rise and fall hem favoured by Nina Ricci and Christian Dior. A sweeping updo, a multi-colour pearl necklace and a pair of Sergio Rossi sandals perfectly completed the look.
