The recipients of the awards had already been decided, but the battle for the best dressed on the red carpet was still open as guests arrived at the Inside Soap awards in London. High-octane glamour was the order of the day at the bash, where the EastEnders cast scooped the lion's share of gongs.Including the coveted Best Soap award, they picked up seven, compared to Coronation Street's five trophies.

Elegant in a sapphire blue bandage style dress, Lacey Turner – who plays Albert Square's troubled Stacey Slater – collected the Best Actress gong for the fourth year running. The soap's Kara Tointon – aka Dawn Swann – netted the best-Dressed Soap Star gong, but lost out on the Sexiest Female honour. That went to Weatherfield's Michelle Keegan, who lived up to the title in a thigh-skimming glittering dress and lace up peep toe shoes. Others toasting success on the night included Charlie Brooks, who was named Best Bitch for her rule as scheming Janine Butcher in EastEnders.
