It was a star-studded evening in Leicester Square on Thursday as Hollywood's leading ladies walked the red carpet for the world premiere of Nine. The movie-musical features a host of glamorous actresses including Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson and Dame Judi Dench. The talented group stars opposite Daniel Day-Lewis, who plays a famous Italian filmmaker trying to manage his relationships with the many women in his life, including his wife, mistress, mother, and muse. Kate Hudson, who dons some super sexy outfits in Nine, was all elegance in a white strapless gown. She described the making of the film as "amazing".
"It was a learning experience," said the newcomer to the musical genre. "We were all very supportive of each other because it's all singing and dancing and things we hadn't really done. It was really fun. "Director Rob Marshall, who also made the Oscar-winning Chicago, was full of praise for his all-star cast. "I was overwhelmed by the turnout of women that came and auditioned for Nine. We saw so many great actors and I was blown away by that," he said.The film, which also stars Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie and Italian movie legend Sophia Loren, hits cinemas on December 18.
