While most of Hollywood were busy celebrating at the Oscars, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively spent the film industry's biggest weekend very differently. Husband and wife took time out to visit some of the young patients staying on the Pediatric Unit of the Health Sciences North, a hospital in Ontario, Canada. Blake, 25, and Ryan, 36, made a very low-key visit to the facility where they happily posed for pictures with the children and their families. They had specifically asked the hospital to keep their visit under wraps, and no media were invited.
But pictures did appear on Facebook of the newlyweds as they put their fame to such good use.Dressed down and makeup-free, Blake kept it casual as joined her husband for the visit, where they were pictured holding tiny babies and also posing for photographs in scrubs as they cuddled up with one little boy.Hospital spokesman Dan Lessard told the local media that both Blake and Ryan were "wonderful" with the children.Vancouver-born Ryan is in town filming Queen of the Night, accompanied by his supportive wife of five months. Blake doesn't appear to have any movies in the pipeline - she is clearly just enjoying her new role, as Mrs Reynolds.
