Lucila Sola, 33, supports boyfriend Al Pacino, 72, at his latest premiere

March 14, 2013

Al Pacino and Lucila Sola (born Lucila Polak), his girlfriend of nearly two years, stepped out together at the premiere of Al's new film Phil Spector. The Godfather actor, 72 and Lucila, 33 smiled and laughed from the red carpet as Al prepared to debut his controversial new acting venture. The Argentinian actress wore a white lace dress and silver heels as she accompanied Al in his all-black ensemble at the Time Warner Center in New York.

The controversial new film, which also stars Dame Helen Mirren, tells the story of music producer Phil Spector's relationship with Linda Kenney Baden, his defense attorney during his trial for the murder of Lana Clarkson. The movie's release comes as Phil Spector, 73, is still serving his sentence for the Lana's murder. Producers have been careful to state that the film is only based on reality and is not a true retelling of events.

Directed and written by David Mamet, Phil Spector depicts various versions of events rather than a factual representation of the producer's life and conviction for second degree murder. The film, which will be screened on US channel HBO, has met with a frosty reception from Phil's wife Rachelle Spector who believes it shows her husband to be "a foul-mouthed megalomaniac." Rachelle, who believes her husband is innocent, said "They depict him as a minotaur - like he draws people into his labyrinth and he locks them in and won't let them out. "The premiere drew in several famous faces including Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards and his wife Patti Hansen, Cuba Gooding Jr and Girls actress Allison Williams, while Dame Helen was notably absent.
