Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that rumours she was dating Chris Martin brought the happy couple together. The actress has said that when she was first romantically linked to the Coldplay frontman, they hadn't even met — but that those inaccurate reports eventually led to one of Hollywood's happiest marriages. "It's funny because people had started writing that we were going out and we had never even met," said the star, who wed Chris in 2003.
"And then he was in Los Angeles doing a concert and an actress that he had a crush on was supposed to come to the concert. When she didn't show up, he was so annoyed that he said, 'Oh, this is for my girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow.'"The Oscar-winner said friends then began asking her what was going on, and she had to explain that she didn't even know the singer. Happily though, those reports meant the couple did get together when Gwyneth attended a Coldplay concert later in London. "Because they had written so much in the press, his assistant came to my seat at the concert," she told the Sun. "They said, 'This is so crazy, but will you come back and say hello afterwards?' And that was it."
Gwyneth, 40, and Chris, 36, tied the knot on 5 December, 2003, in a hotel in southern California. Their daughter Apple was born in London in May 2004, and their son Moses in April 2006 in New York.On Monday, the Iron Man 3 actress was spotted arriving back in London with her children after attending the Paris premiere of the film on Sunday night with her co-star Robert Downey Jr on Sunday night.
