Brave Angelina Jolie plans to marry her long-term partner Brad Pitt "sooner rather than later" after enduring a double mastectomy. The Hollywood actress, who this week praised her "loving and supportive" fiancé, is ready to walk down the aisle following three months of medical procedures. "Angie is keen on a wedding and the kids are clamoring for a marriage and keep asking Brad and Angie when it's happening," a source told MailOnline."Brad has been caught up in production turmoil with his new film World War Z, so there's been no wedding planning as a result, but Angie has said it will happen sooner rather than later.
"They are for all intents and purposes married, but it's become clear that it's important to them to make it official. "Angelina, 37, and Brad, 49, announced their engagement in April 2012, seven years into their relationship. Brad proposed to the mother of six with a beautiful $500,000 diamond engagement ring he had designed himself. In November, just three months before his bride-to-be underwent her first mastectomy operation, Brad spoke about the couple's plans to wed. "I am getting more pressure from my kids," he admitted. "And it is something I want to do within my lifetime, but I also feel like the time has come. "The time is nigh. It's soon. I got a good feeling about it." The Killing Them Softly star also confirmed that the celebration would be a private affair. "Just family," he said. "Keep it simple. Keep it simple really."
There are conflicting reports as to where the wedding will take place. Some sources say that Angelina would like to tie the knot at the family's Chateau Miravel estate, while others say that while she would like to wed in France, the actress would prefer to find a new location that "addresses their security concerns and desire to keep it private".It is also said that Angelina, a UN ambassador, "goes through phases" of wanting to marry in one of the many countries she has visited through her humanitarian efforts. "Getting married in Bosnia, Haiti or Cambodia would give something back to the global community. That may sound pretentious to many, but Angelina sincerely believes in the need to pursue that aim," a source said. "It drives her charity work and she's like to incorporate this sentiment into her personal life. "Meanwhile, is has been revealed that Angelina turned down a string of film roles — including Salt 2 and Survivor, a film about a woman aught up in a terrorist plot — to undergo three months of treatment after learning she had an 87 per cent chance of developing breast cancer. In an powerful article written for the New York Times this week, the star revealed her decision to have a preventative double mastectomy after being diagnosed with the "faulty" BRCA1 gene.
