Pudsey dresses up for photocall in Cannes

May 16, 2013

Pudsey the dog has come a long way since winning Britain's Got Talent in 2012.

Pudsey, who is a Border Collie, Bichon Frise and Chinese Crested cross, has performed live for the Queen, starred in plays and TV programmes, featured in his own 'autobidography' and he has now stepped in to the big league at the Cannes Film Festival.

Accompanied by his trusty trainer, Ashleigh Butler, Pudsey attended the photocall for his debut film, Pudsey: The Movie , even donning sunglasses and a bow tie and posing in front of the bay.Dressed in a studded black dress and heels, Ashleigh supported her talented dog as he showed off his moves for the cameras.

The film, which is being produced by BGT judge Simon Cowell, began filming just more than a month ago and is due to be released at the end of the year.

Simon's company, Syco, have teamed up with UK outfit Vertigo Films to make the film, the second flick they have created from a BGT success story after dance group Diversity's film Street Dance 3D became a box office hit.

Hot on the heels of the announcement that Pudsey would be starring in his very own movie in February, his trainer Ashleigh exclusively revealed to HELLO! that she told Simon Cowell her talented dog could win an Oscar.

"But that was in a moment of madness. We will have to see," she laughed, when HELLO! took the famous dancing duo on a pooch pampering day at Harrods' pet spa. "I'd like to think Pudsey will have his own trailer on the film set," Ashleigh told HELLO!. "He will need to go in there for his little cat naps. He doesn't have any diva demands but we do always ask for him to have a fan to keep him nice and cool."
