Katie Holmes looked the picture of happiness as she got soaked in the Washington Square Park fountain with dashing co-star Luke Kirby on Tuesday. The acting duo, both 34, were seen frolicking in the fountain in New York for a scene in their upcoming film Mania Days. The Dawson's Creek actress was all smiles, carefree and visibly enjoying every minute of the filming for the movie, and not in the least concerned as she got soaked through in her white T-shirt and jean shorts cut off at the knee.
Playing a couple in love came easily to the pair, who embraced the soaking-wet set where the twosome filmed a fun scene in the fountain, drenched from head-to-toe as they cooled off in the water. The beautiful brunette, who recently divorced from husband Tom Cruise, looked make-up free as she larked around with her on-screen love, her long locks dripping, contently wiping the water from her face. She was also spotted holding hands with her Canadian co-star, who plays her onscreen love in the romantic drama. The Spike Lee-produced movie centres around two manic depressives who meet in a pyschiatric hospital and fall in love. Katie plays poet Carla while Luke plays a manic depressive rapper.
The pair – who we have to admit would make a lovely couple – were snapped sharing coy glances and looking the picture of love in and out of the fountain. Earlier they shared an intimate moment while shooting on a bench in the park. The divorcee, who has been single since she split from Hollywood star Tom in June 2012, was definitely the leading lady onset. According to a source, she was asked out seven times. "They were crew members and extras just chancing it. It really got on the nerves of director Paul Dalio. Needless to say, she said no to everyone."
