Kevin Costner proudly escorted his wife and two eldest daughters to the world premiere of Man of Steel in New York on Monday evening. The US actor, who plays Superman's adoptive father in the film, looked very much the family man as he stepped out for the star-studded event with his three ladies.Kevin, 58, posed with wife Christine Baumgartner and his two eldest children, Annie, 29, and Lily, 26, on the red carpet as he arrived for the screening.

The two girls had pulled out all the stops for their evening out with their father. Annie chose a classic monochrome dress, while her younger sister went for a knee-length silk number. Annie, Lily and their brother Joe are Kevin's children from his first marriage to Cindy Silva, which ended in 1994 after 16 years.

Kevin — who also has a son Liam with one-time girlfriend Bridget Rooney — married German model and handbag designer Christine at his ranch in Colorado in September 2004. The couple have three children together, Cayden, Hayes, and daughter Grace.

Christine looked glamorous for the event, wearing a striking orange and black dress that highlighted her enviable figure. Her husband kept her close throughout the evening, and the couple shared loving glances as they posed for pictures together at the unveiling.

Also attending the premiere was the man of the moment, British actor Henry Cavill, and his co-star Amy Adams, who stars as Lois Lane. Russell Crowe — cast as Jor-El, the biological father of Superman — was also there.Kevin, who plays Jonathan Kent alongside Diane Lane as his wife Martha Kent, has had nothing but praise for new Superman star Henry, and recently said he couldn't think of anyone better to play the iconic hero. "With Henry, he looks the part. And that's at first blush, he looks the part and that's really important. And then it's not easy," he told film website Flicks and Bits."There's a bunch of good-looking guys in the world, maybe Henry comes in 50th of guys with dark hair and a curl, he's still a handsome guy but he can act. He cam really really act."
