Appropriately clad in blue for the occasion, Britney Spears showed off her stunning figure at the premiere of Smurfs 2 in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The pop singer, 31, who opted for a plunging sky blue bandage dress with blocks of black to accentuate her fabulous curves, brought along her two adorable sons Sean Preston, seven, and Jayden James, six, for the ride.

Before she headed out to the red carpet at the Regency Village Theatre in California, Britney shared her excitement, and that of her boys, with fans on Twitter. "Getting ready with my baby boys to head to the #Smurfs2 Premiere. They are bouncing off the walls :)" posted the Toxic singer.

The two boys were positively beaming as they stood on either side of their proud mum at the premiere of the animated film, kitted out in shorts and T-shirt outfits. "Awww! #Smurfs2 was super cute! The boys loved it", wrote Britney later.

It's no wonder their grins are ear-to-ear. Not only did the pair feature in the video for Britney’s new single Ooh La La, which she recorded for The Smurfs 2, but the pop star has revealed that she recorded the track for her sons.

During a radio interview she told Ryan Seacrest, "The main reason why I did it was because my boys. They're obsessed with the Smurfs.

"We've seen The Smurfs movie a million trillion times, and they were told they could be in the video and all this cool stuff, so that's the reason why I did it." The Smurfs 2, which is set to be released in the US on 31 July, will feature Katy Perry, who was also out in LA for the premiere, accompanied by her grandmother. "So great to see you Smurfette @katyperry! Can't wait for our Vegas date..." Britney wrote on the internet, sharing a snap of the two stars together.
